Kaatsheuvel
The Netherlands largest amusement park can be found in Kaatsheuvel and is one of the first amusement parks. It is also open during the winter. The Netherlands largest amusement park in Kaatsheuvel has its own mobile ice-skating rink since 2003 and it measures 25×50 metres.
Full service
The mobile ice-skating rink has been provided with the Swedice Systems mat system. The rink was initially rented but, after a successful first year, management decided to purchase the rink. An investment where maintenance, assembly, dismantlement and installation is provided by Swedice. The daily maintenance of the rink takes place through a professional ice resurfacing machine.
Wintertainment
Swedice has, as is appropriate to an amusement park, given much attention to the “experience” linked to the ice-skating rink. Special boarding was developed completely in the style and colour of the park. The ice-skating rink is located in a tent, in a winter environment with catering facilities and decoration provided by trees on the ice. Swedice is also responsible for the skate rental facilities.
Snow!
Swedice has been called in since 2005 to deliver snow for the slide. A full tubing run was constructed outside the ice-skating rink as a ski cross-country slope. Swedice was also responsible for the delivery of the required materials such as skis, ski sticks and ski shoes.
