Hoorn
The starting signal was given in the autumn of 2005 in Hoorn for the construction of a spanking new ice complex. Swedice provided the rink technology for a 400 metre rink and a ice hockey and/or recreational pitch measuring 30 by 60 metres as well as the consultancy during the development process in the complex, called De Westfries.
A concerted action
Swedice processed no less than 91,000 metres of the Swedice pipe system in partnership with GTI Koudetechniek and the main contractor Vaessen Bouw. In partnership with both parties, we have already realised the ice-skating rink in Breda (2001).The project was completed in September 2006, which was nicely on time for the new ice season. The rink is not only suitable for recreational use but it also complies with the B status for KNSB (Dutch Skating Union) competitions.
